FALL-LINE MOTORSPORTS HEADS TO THE BRICKYARD

Buffalo Grove, IL (July 24, 2013) – Following a thrilling victory at Watkins Glen International Speedway during the last round of Continental Tires Sports Car Challenge (CTSCC) competition, Fall-Line drivers and crew are looking to continue the momentum headed into this weekend’s event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The #46 Trim-Tex Drywall Products/ Fall-Line Motorsports BMW has had two fantastic results the past two events with a 4th place finish at Mid-Ohio and their amazing drive to capture their first victory at Watkins Glen during the last race event just a few weeks ago. Mark Boden and Bryan Sellers have been consistently quick throughout the 2013 season and results have finally started coming their way and reflecting the speed and consistency that they have not been able to capitalize on until recently. The duo finished 6th last year at the Brickyard for the inaugural Brickyard Sports Car Challenge.

The #48 Cirocco Ozzimo/ Atlas Acon/ DFL Interiors/ Fall-Line Motorsports BMWwill be sporting a new look this weekend as newcomer to the series, Trent Hindman, joins Charles Espenlaub for this weekend’s event and also the remainder of the year. Hindman has spent the first half of 2013 with Fall-Line racing a Porsche GT2 in SCCA.

Trent Hindman, “I’m really looking forward to my first Continental Tires Sports Car Series weekend with the Fall-Line guys! It’s extremely exciting for a young driver such as myself to be working with such an experienced and successful team. I have no expectations for results (though I would like to be running up towards the front!) but my goal for the weekend is to learn as much as possible and form a good partnership with Charles (Espenlaub). I feel what’s learned this weekend is key if Charles and I want to be a force to be reckoned with in the future. Also, I would just like to say a big thank you to Michael Harvey, Mark Boden, Chris Lerch, and all of the guys from F all-Line who have brought me this far along. I really appreciate all of the hard work and faith these guys have put towards me over that past few months. Now lets go win us a race!”

The #45 Eagle/ B+ Foundation/ Fall-Line Motorsports BMW will, of course, be piloted by none other than Al Carter and Hugh Plumb this weekend as they are also coming off their best finish of the year after taking home 3rd place at Watkins Glen and capturing their second podium finish in CTSCC. This charismatic driver pair has also had a string of unfortunate, unavoidable mishaps this season but hopefully luck has turned their way. They finished 27th at last year’s Indy event after contact by a slower ST car caused significant damage that took many laps to repair.

Michael Harvey, Team Manager: We are very excited to get back to Indianapolis, we feel this is a good track for the Fall-Line BMW’s. Following a strong team performance at Watkins Glen we are looking to continue the momentum at Indy. It is great to welcome Trent (Hindman) to the Continental team starting here at Indy.  He is such a youthful talent and we have had the great fortune to be a part of his growth so it will be very satisfying to be involved in the next steps.”

FALL-LINE MOTORSPORTS CTSCC TEAM PLEASED WITH QUALIFYING RESULTS AT INDY

Indianapolis, IN (July 26, 2013) – The three Fall-Line Motorsports BMW M3s were quick today at Indianapolis Motor Speedway as they competed in the Continental Tires Sports Car Challenge GS class. It was a busy day for the team with two practice sessions before qualifying this afternoon, but all three cars performed flawlessly and are in good position for the 2.5-hour Brickyard Sports Car Challenge tomorrow afternoon. The #45 car will start 2nd, the #48 car 3rd, and the #46 car 13th.

Hugh Plumb qualified the #45 Eagle/ B+ Foundation/ Fall-Line Motorsports BMWtoday and just narrowly missed the pole position. He was edged in the closing laps by one of the Aston Martins and fell just .087 short of his first CTSCC pole position. But the #45 car definitely has the speed and both drivers are comfortable around the famed course as co-driver Al Carter was quickest inthe second practice session earlier today.

Trent Hindman qualified the #48 Cirocco Ozzimo/ Atlas Acon/ DFL Interiors/ Fall-Line Motorsports BMW and drove brilliantly in his first-ever GRAND-AM CTSCC event. To qualify 3rd for his first professional sports car is no surprise to the team, but a remarkable feat nonetheless. Hindman, just 17, is sharing the car with Charles Espenlaub for this event and the remainder of the year and this is a powerful combination of drivers and talent.

Mark Boden drove the #46 Trim-Tex Drywall Products/ Fall-Line Motorsports

BMW and will start lucky number thirteen. He put the car in a good starting position and the duo of Boden and Bryan Sellers will be out to back-up their win at Watkins Glen with another strong finish this weekend at Indy.

Michael Harvey, Team Manager: A good day for the Fall-Line BMW’s at Indianapolis, I am really proud of the whole team. A great job in qualifying today and I am hopeful we can translate into a strong race result.

FALL-LINE MOTORSPORTS KISSES THE BRICKS

Indianapolis, IN (July 26, 2013) – Bryan Sellers and Mark Boden crossed the famed finish line at the ‘Yard of Bricks’ today in first place of the Continental Tires Sports Car Challenge (CTSCC) series race, making it two in a row for the Fall-Line Motorsports pair. Teammates Charles Espenlaub and Trent Hindman finished just off the podium with a 4th place finish which is also the second race in a row that Espenlaub has finished 4th. Al Carter and Hugh Plumb ran into misfortune once again at Indy after making contact with another competitor and having a misstep in the pits. They were classified 19th after failing to finish the race.

Mark Boden drove the first stint in the #46 Trim-Tex Drywall Products/ Fall-Line Motorsports BMW after starting 13th. He drove a long stint- over an hour- and handed over the reigns to Bryan Sellers in 11th position. The #46 car’s strategy worked out perfectly, and the extensive caution periods played into their hands making the race on only one stop. In typical Bryan Sellers form, he drove his BMW to the front, taking th

e lead and then holding off one of the Roush Performance Mustang driven by Billy Johnson for several laps. The two were in a tight battle, just a few tenths separating the two, but ultimately the race ended under full course caution. Bryan Sellers led his third race in a row in the CTSCC series, and wins his second race in a row following the duo’s first victory at Watkins Glen just weeks ago. Mark Boden now moves into 6th in overall standings.

Mark Boden: ” We were strong all weekend. We didn’t have a great qualifying but we knew we had a good car. I got tangled up early in the race but it had a minimal effect on the car. The team did a great job giving us a phenomenal car but also with pit stops, which put us in the position to allow Bryan to work his magic, get the car up front, and hold off a very strong 61 car. Also, hats off to BMW for finishing 1, 3, and 4 in the GS class.”

Bryan Sellers“Its hard to believe when you’re sitting here at Indy and we just kissed the bricks which is something we all dream of growing up. Things worked out for us today the way we planned which is also very surprising, it doesn’t always happen that way. Today for us was very much a team win. They made a pretty risky strategy call and with an hour-and-a-half left to go we made the call to stay out on fuel, which is a very long time for our fuel window. Luckily, the yellows played into our favor a little bit but the team executed under pressure, had a great stop, and were able to get us second in line at the 1st restart. Billy Johnson pushed a little wide and I was able to get by him but from there it was tough work to keep him behind for the rest of the race. When the team gives you a car in the lead it’s tough to not bring it back for them so I am so happy that I could do that for the guys and all of us could win at Indy together.”

Trent Hindman started the race behind the wheel of the #48Cirocco Ozzimo/ Atlas Acon/ DFL Interiors/ Fall-Line Motorsports BMW in 3rd place as the 17-year-old New Jersey native competed in his first-ever professional sports car race. He fell back a few spots momentarily before getting in the groove and moving back up to fifth place. This remarkable young driver made a flawless pit stop and driver change as Charles Espenlaub got in the car. Espenlaub moved up to 4th position, just behind his teammates, and again, due to the numerous caution periods, didn’t have many chances to move up. Espenlaub, however, gained valuable points and is now just 54 points out of the Championship lead with four races remaining in the 2013 season.

Hugh Plumb narrowly missed the pole position in the #45 Eagle/ B+ Foundation/ Fall-Line Motorsports BMW and had to settle for starting second in the race. He quickly made fast work of improving his position as he took the lead from the pole sitter on the straightaway in dominant fashion. Hugh led the first twenty-six laps, pulling away from the field after his hour-long stint. Al carter got in with an hour-and-a-half remaining in the race and after all pit stops were complete, he found himself in 3rd place. Sadly, this is when the fortune turns to misfortune. Following an on-track incident with another competitor, Carter came into the pits for service. The car was damaged pretty heavily and the crew was working on the repairs. Somehow, a miscommunication occurred and Carter left the pits without all four tires installed properly. The right rear came off on the circuit and left him stranded.

Michael Harvey, Team Manager: “Unbelievable, this groups just gets better. The Fall-Line BMW’s were strong today although we had a lot of pressure throughout the entire race.  Unfortunately for the #45 we made a very un-characteristic mistake which was disappointing but overall another great result with strong championship implications.”

Next up is Road America August 8-10. The re-play of the event will be televised on SPEED TV Saturday, August 3 at 4p ET.

FALL-LINE MOTORSPORTS GOING FOR THREE-IN-A-ROW AT ROAD AMERICA

Buffalo Grove, IL (August 7, 2013) – Fall-Line Motorsports is on a roll as we enter the latter part of the 2013 Continental Sports Car Challenge (CTSCC) series season, capturing victories at the last two stops on the schedule at Watkins Glen and Indianapolis. The team heads to their home track in Elkhart Lake, WI, just two and a half hours north of Fall-Line’s headquarters just outside of Chicago.

The three-car team comprised of BMW M3s has performed very well as a group during the past few CTSCC GS races. Beginning with Mid-Ohio, where a series of untimely yellow flags cost the team a victory and followed with Watkins Glen and Indianapolis Motor Speedway where the #46 car drivers of Mark Boden and Bryan Sellers delivered the team’s second and third victory ever and the first for team owner Boden and Sellers.

Now, headed to the 8th round of the 11-race series, with two consecutive wins under their belt, at the team’s ‘home track,’ the question is: can Fall-Line Motorsports do it again?

Team Manager Michael Harvey says yes. “We have really hit our stride and the team is performing at an all-time high. We have fast BMWs and the cars are running flawlessly, we are executing the race strategy like we need to, and all of our drivers are all doing their jobs perfectly. Although Road America is not the strongest track for the BMW’s our goal will be to put all three cars in the top 10 and there is no better place to do it than right in our backyard in front of friends and family.”

The driver line-up will be a slight variation from the Indianapolis lineup. In the #48 Cirocco Ozzimo/ Atlas Acon/ DFL Interiors/ Fall-Line Motorsports BMW will once again be Charles Espenlaub and newcomer Trent Hindman. Hindman, just 17, started his first CTSCC race at Indianapolis and turned heads as he qualified third and ran fifth during the race. The Hindman/Espenlaub combo is a strong one, especially at Road America where Hindman is very comfortable.

We will have the good fortune to have Al Carter and Hugh Plumb in the #45 Eagle/ B+ Foundation/ Fall-Line Motorsports BMW, as always, and rest-assured this pair is on a mission. Carter was the fastest on-track in practice at Indy and Plumb narrowly missed the pole position but led the first third of the race. Contact with another GS competitor took them out of competition but this determined duo is looking for redemption at a track where they finished 8th last year.

The #46 Trim-Tex Drywall Products/ Fall-Line Motorsports BMW has been all the talk for the past few races, and Mark Boden hopes to continue that trend. However, he will be without his regular co-pilot as Bryan Sellers has prior commitment to his American Le Mans Series team, which is also competing at Road America this weekend. Boden has more laps around the over four-mile track than most, and even bought a house nearby for use on race weekends. Joining Boden this weekend will be David Donohue who is a regular fill-in driver for Fall-Line and is very capable of continuing the #46 car’s success.

The Road America race is the 8th round of the 2013 GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge season and the event starts with a promoter test day on Wednesday. Official practice sessions will take place on August 8 at 1:30p and 4:45p ET on Thursday and CTSCC GS qualifying takes place Friday, August 9 at 9:40a ET. The start of the 2.5 hour race is set for Saturday, August 10 at 12:30p ET and can be viewed LIVE on speed2.com where available. The race will be televised on SPEED TV Saturday, August 17 at 4:00p ET.

FALL-LINE MOTORSPORTS NABS ANOTHER FRONT-ROW STARTING POSITION AT ROAD AMERICA

Elkhart Lake, WI (August 9, 2013) – Fall-Line Motorsports earned another front-row starting position in the Continental Tires Sports Car Challenge Series (CTSCC) GS class today at Road America as newcomer Trent Hindman qualified P2 in only his second GRAND-AM event of his career.  Hugh Plumb put in a late lap during qualifying to grab the 6th starting position and Mark Boden will start 13th.

The Fall-Line Motorsports team is working towards the coveted hat trick by winning their third race in a row tomorrow. The three-car BMW team has three chances to do so with three strong cars, all of which are capable of continuing the winning streak. That’s a lot of threes.

17-year-old rookie Trent Hindman is continuing to turn heads in the #48 Cirocco Ozzimo/ Atlas Acon/ DFL Interiors/ Fall-Line Motorsports BMW. Qualifying third for this first GRAND-AM race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway just two weeks ago was no fluke. This young man has continued to impress and putting the #48 on the front row at Road America today solidified that. Hindman issharing driving duties with Charles Espenlaub for the remainder of the season. Espenlaub currently sits fourth in overall GS driver standings.

Trent Hindman: “I am absolutely thrilled with the qualifying result from today!  The car felt great in all of the practice runs, but I’m extremely happy that we were able to convert that speed into a 2nd place run. Just a huge thanks to Charles (Espenlaub) for all of the help and hard work so far this weekend! Also, a big thanks to Rad, Claudio, and all of these Fall-Line guys for giving me a great car once again. I am really looking forward to how we manage during the race tomorrow!”

Hugh Plumb and Al Carter will start 6th in the #45 Eagle/ B+ Foundation/ Fall-Line Motorsports BMW and are looking to turn their misfortune at Indianapolis into fortune at Road America. Hugh and Al have been struggling a bit with the #45 car this weekend trying to perfect the balance. The team and engineers have worked with the drivers to find a suitable set-up that works with the BMW on the 4-mile, high-speed track and all are satisfied with the progress that has been made.

The #46 Trim-Tex Drywall Products/ Fall-Line Motorsports BMW has been to victory lane the past two races and Mark Boden, competing at his home track, hopes to continue that trend. David Donohue joins Boden this weekend, as regular co-pilot Bryan Sellers had a prior commitment. Boden qualified the car and will start 13th for the race tomorrow.

Team Manager Michael Harvey: “As the Fall-Line BMWs look to three-peat our campaign, we got off to a great start with a front row start for tomorrows race. We are very excited to be racing at Road America, “our home track” and I am so proud of our crew, engineers and drivers.  We aim to perform at the highest level every weekend and this one is no exception.”

The Road America race is the 8th round of the 2013 Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge season. The start of the 2.5 hour race is set for Saturday, August 10 at 12:30p ET and can be viewed LIVE on speed2.com where available. The race will be televised on SPEED TV Saturday, August 17 at 4:00p ET.
