Summer Regional Series – VIR – May 1-2, 2010

May 03, 2010
Since this was one of the rare times when a race was close enough to drive to, my parents and I made the 8 hour drive to VIR. My mom did most of the driving and I think she qualified on pole! Southern Series – Sebring, FL – April 8-10, 2010

April 13, 2010
Since I hadn’t been in a race car since February, Steve Welk figured I would definitely need some extra practice laps to break the rust off. Somehow he managed to convince my mom to let me bail on school for two days this time! So my dad & I flew out on Wednesday night so we could get to Sebring Intl. Raceway first thing Thursday morning because we had a lot of work to do. I got out on track early Thursday and lucky for me, it only took a couple of laps to get back into shape. With Steve’s help, we continued getting quicker through Thursday’s and Friday’s practice sessions.

Skip Barber Southern Series – Sebring

February 16, 2010
I always look forward to taking a Friday off from school to go racing. So I expected to have a four day week, but lucky for me, we had 2 feet of snow here in New Jersey. Two feet of snow equals two days off from school! I went to school on Monday and Tuesday, then I enjoyed a nice 6 day weekend thanks to the snow days and race days! It was sweet! With all the snow, my dad and I were lucky our flight went out on time Thursday night. We met up with Steve Welk in Orlando and we were all in bed at the hotel in Sebring by midnight.

So with my parents’ help, the principal cut me some slack and allowed me to make up the exam when I returned to school on Monday. So when my dad and I got on the plane to Florida, I was completely focused on racing, not Algebra.
